Vin de Pays du Val de Loire

Chardonnay white

History :Introduced into the valley of the Loire during the middle- Ages, this continental known vine also under the name of “Auvernat” is native of Burgundy. This wine is raised all winter without racking in oak barrels, this frees oxygen for a better release of the oak tannin.

Grape varieties : 100 % Chardonnay

Colour : dry White

Age of the vines: 10 years        

Soils :  Grounds with sandy dominants, granitic rock in 2 micas.

Tasting notes :  Pale yellow  with golden nuances, It reveals vanilla, citrus fruit, butterscotch, grilled bread flavors, its mouthful floral and has a toasted finish.

Food pairing :  apéritif, Fish gratin, landaise salad, smoked salmon, raclette, poultry …

Sauvignon White

History :This grape varieties was introduced during the midle-Ages by the Benedictine monks from the Beauvoir Abbey. This wine was born in 2013 , from a plot of vines on the borders of the river Maine.

Grape varieties : 100 % Sauvignon Blanc

Colour : dry White.

Surface : 2,5  acres

Age of the vines: 4 years

soils : Grounds with sandy dominants, granitic rock in 2 micas.

Tasting notes : Pale yellow  with reflections or green, the range of flavours is rich, complex, such as passion fruit, litchi, citrus fruits and even boxtree.

Food pairing : apéritif, sea food, summer salad, scallops, john dory, turbot and cold meat…

History This cuvée stemming from the vine Egiodola which means in Basque " the pure blood ", little spread in France, it made his appearance in 1954.

Grape varieties : 100 % Egiodola

Colour : dry rose

Surface : 7  acres

Age of the vines: 15 years        

soils : Grounds with sandy dominants, granitic rock in 2 micas.

Tasting notes : Pale pink with ruby nuances, It reveals wild strawberries, raspberries and  redcurrant flavors.

History : This cuvée stemming from the vine Cabernet sauvignon. Crossed accidentally in the XVII th century between the Cabernet franc and the sauvignon blanc.

Grape varieties : 100 % Cabernet Sauvignon

Colour : dry rose

soils : Sandy lime ground, an underground presenting flint will a silica rock of granit type desagregating.

History This wine was introduced during the XIth century, it would have arrived from the western South by the port of Nantes where from his nickname of " Britain”. Maceration of seven days with a daily punching the cap and pumping over.

History : This wine was born in 2008 subtil wedding between the two famous grape varieties of Loire valley, melon and chardonnay.

Tasting notes : Bright straw yellow colour, very fruity, it reveals exotic fruits,  with the final note of elder tree aroma and white grape..
